What are the visa requirements when coming over to the UK?
Now the FA have created some strict laws in regards to professionals playing in the UK, however there are ways around it!
Due to safeguarding and player protection, under 18s that aren’t British citizens or have passports are very difficult to bring over. Unless the parents of the player moves for work and find work for reasonable circumstances.
If you are over 18 and do not have a British citizenship you can apply for an ancestry visa if you have any British ancestors. This will allow you to play any level you want and be paid as a professional footballer.
Given the huge Aus-British population in football in Aus this is the most logical solution to play. Providing thousands of players opportunities to play here
Furthermore on youth mobility visas you are able to play but there are some restrictions.
